The International Conference on Transport and Sedimentation of Solid Particles has become a place for scientists, engineers and leading authorities in the field of pipeline transport and sedimentation, to meet and participate in active debates. The conferences have supported an international exchange of developments in research and applications in these fields.

Since the first conference in Poland in 1971, the conference has been convened in Belgium, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, the Netherlands, South Africa, Russia, and now China.

We are pleased to announce that the 21st International Conference on Transport and Sedimentation of Solid Particles (TS21) will be held in Hangzhou, China, from 19 to 22 October 2026.

Following the global challenges of recent years, the TS conference series has continued to adapt to ensure the exchange of knowledge and collaboration in the field of solid particle transport and sedimentation. After careful consideration of various factors, including international accessibility, local infrastructure, and the expertise of the organizing team, we are delighted to bring this prestigious conference to Hangzhou, a city renowned for its academic excellence and vibrant innovation.

Throughout this period, the international organizing committee has maintained continuous discussions on how best to resume the conference in a reliable and impactful manner. While the rich history of previous venues has been cherished, the decision to host TS21 in Hangzhou was driven by the city’s exceptional capabilities to support a successful and well-organized event, supported by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University (ZSTU) and our partners. We are confident that this new setting will provide an inspiring environment for all participants.

Hangzhou offers excellent international connectivity, a world-class conference infrastructure, and is supported by an experienced organizing team with a strong track record in hosting international conferences. We are fully committed to delivering a high-quality conference that will be rewarding for all participants, fostering meaningful discussions and lasting professional connections.

TS21 will cover a broad range of topics related to the transport and sedimentation of solid particles, including slurry transport, multiphase flows, mining and energy applications, hydraulic systems, computational and experimental methods, and engineering solutions. The conference will feature several distinguished keynote lectures from leading experts in the field. Most accepted papers and abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings, with selected papers recommended for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Since its inaugural meeting, the International Conference on Transport and Sedimentation of Solid Particles has been a long-standing platform for international collaboration and knowledge sharing in this vital field. We cordially invite both long-standing members of the TS community and first-time participants to submit their papers and join us in Hangzhou. We also sincerely appreciate the continued support of committee members and encourage session organizers to assemble strong technical programs that will promote productive and engaging discussions.
